CFOs are taking on responsibilities in new areas like technology and operations, making connecting with other financial leaders and professionals to gain fresh perspectives a must. Keeping up with the latest best practices is all the more critical as finance chiefs navigating heightened economic uncertainty, regulatory changes and other headwinds, along with the continuing shortages in accounting and financial talent.
With that in mind, CFO Dive has compiled a list of key financial conferences for the second half of 2025. Many of these events explore how the role of the CFO is changing and provide insights into steps finance chiefs can take to ensure they can effectively drive their company’s strategy
Top financial conferences in 2025
CFO Conference & Ethics Session
Aug. 20-22
Omni Richmond Hotel, Richmond, Virginia
Hosted by the Virginia Bankers Association, the event is geared toward CFOs and other executives in financial management. Attendees must register separately for a session on AI ethics, which will touch on the integration of AI into the accounting industry, and how financial professionals can address the challenges of data security, regulatory compliance and bias with its use. The ethics course satisfies the Virginia Board of Accountancy ethics requirement.
Other sessions will include discussions on market and economic outlooks, combating the cost of fraud and balance sheet strategies. A full speaker list has yet to be published.
Sept. 15-16
New York City, New York
Hosted by the F-Suite, an invite-only organization for CFOs, the summit will focus on how finance chiefs can create the best strategies to optimize growth and performance. The summit will include roundtable discussions and sessions on how finance leaders can best navigate the complex challenges of the current business environment. Registration for the event opens in July, according to the website.
Oct. 6-8
Hyatt Regency, Austin, Texas
The fall CFO Leadership Council’s conference will hone in on tactics finance leaders need to become more strategic leaders. Speakers include Cameron Kinloch, CFO of Weights & Biases, who will speak about the financial workforce of the future. Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Oakland McCulloch will give a talk titled “Ignite Your Leadership Potential.”
The conference agenda includes an “Austin Adventure” session, a team-based networking activity where CFOs will be grouped together to collect clues and solve puzzles. “It’s a fun, fast-moving experience designed to build new relationships, spark strategic thinking and get you energized for the full conference,” according to the agenda.
Nov. 5-6
Jacob Javits Convention Center, New York City, New York
The two-day conference will bring together more than 2,000 senior executives and focus on the top challenges faced by today’s leaders, focusing on best practices in management and strategies. Speakers for the event will include Renée Richardson Gosline, research scientist and senior lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management, who will touch on how to develop a successful customer experience strategy by balancing AI, data-driven insights and human emotions. Chicago CFO Community Executive Summit

Chicago, Illinois
This one-day conference will bring together top Chicago CFOs and other financial professionals to discuss key challenges and changes facing finance chiefs today. The conference’s agenda will include sessions on topics such as how CFOs can create a path to efficient growth and how they can bridge the enterprise data divide. Nov. 20, 2025
Boston Marriott Newton, Newton, Massachusetts
The 23rd annual summit will explore topics ranging from cybersecurity to how financial leaders can prepare for and help to lead change at their businesses, the different paths one can take to the CFO seat, and how finance chiefs should be thinking about risk, including operational and regulatory uncertainty. During a fireside chat, Jason Child, EVP and CFO of Arm Holdings, will touch on the past, present and future of AI compute technologies. Other speakers will include FedEx CFO John Dietrich, and Synopsys CFO Shelagh Glaser, who will both join a panel on leading change.
